The original was written by Puneet Punamiya from Red Hat (a CDF member). Tekton is an open source project under the Continuous Delivery Foundation (CDF). It provides a framework for building CI/CD systems in a cloud native way. Put simply, people can define an entire CI/CD pipeline as Kubernetes resources.
